Microblading and Ombre Powder Brows Aftercare

Microblading and Ombre Brow aftercare is crucial to ensure proper healing and the best long-term results for your eyebrow tattoo. Here are the general aftercare steps you should follow:
  1. 30 mins after procedure:  Use a cotton round or piece of gauze to gently apply pressure to the treated area and collect the lymphatic fluid every 10 min for 2 hours.
  2. Keep the Area Clean: Gently clean the microbladed area with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water using clean fingers or a cotton pad. Pat the area dry with a clean tissue or towel.
  3. Apply the Recommended Aftercare Product: Your microblading artist will likely provide you with an aftercare ointment. Apply a thin layer (about the size of a grain of rice) of the provided ointment to the treated area using clean hands or a cotton swab. This helps keep the area moisturized and promotes healing.
  4. Avoid Water and Moisture: For the first 7-10 days (or as recommended by your artist), avoid getting the treated area wet. This includes keeping it dry during showers and avoiding activities that might cause excessive sweating.
  5. No Touching or Picking: Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the microbladed area, as this can disrupt the healing process and lead to potential infection or scarring.
  6. Avoid Makeup and Sunscreen: Refrain from using makeup, especially in the treated area, for at least one week. Avoid applying sunscreen directly on the microbladed area until it's fully healed.
  7. Avoid Swimming and Saunas: Stay away from swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and other activities that could expose the treated area to excess moisture until it's healed.
  8. No Exfoliation: Avoid using exfoliating products or treatments in the eyebrow area during the healing process.
  9. Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimize sun exposure, as the sun's UV rays can fade the pigment and hinder the healing process. If you need to go out in the sun, wear a wide-brimmed hat and use a gentle sunscreen around the treated area after it's healed.
  10. Avoid Heavy Exercise: Refrain from intense exercise and activities that cause excessive sweating during the initial healing period.
  11. Follow Artist's Instructions: Your microblading artist may provide specific aftercare instructions tailored to your skin type and the specific pigments used. Always follow their advice for the best results.
  12. Healing Stages: Microblading goes through several healing stages, including initial scabbing, peeling, and fading of the pigment. Be patient, as the final results will develop over several weeks.
  13. Long-Term Care: Once the initial healing is complete, continue to protect your microbladed eyebrows from excessive sun exposure by using sunscreen and following a good skincare routine.
Remember that individual healing can vary, so it's essential to follow your artist's aftercare instructions closely. If you have any concerns or notice any signs of infection, contact your microblading artist or a healthcare professional for guidance.

After the procedure, the area treated will be darker and more intense, this is normal. This will last a few days until the skin heals and peels and naturally exfoliates and the true color emerges.

During the healing process, you may develop dry, or flaky and itchy skin around the treated area. This is completely normal. It is important not to rub, pick or scratch this area.

It is also important to note that even with proper aftercare, your brows can result in patches or fading spots. This is also completely normal as your body is trying to recover and reject this foreign object from your face. This is what your 12 week touch up is intended for. To replace any hair stokes lost during your initial healing process.

There are a few factors that determine how your body heals such as age, skin type, and lifestyle. However, the typical healing time ranges between 6-8 weeks.
