WHAT IS MICROBlaDING?

What is MicroShading?
MicroShading is Microblading (definition above) + Ombre Shading to give density to the eyebrows and brings them to life. MicroShading is recommended to clients who currently have no eyebrow hair or those with very thin brows.
This service gives the illusion of real hair plus the density and definition you would need to create fuller brows.
MicroShading is also recommended for any clients who've had previous tattoo work on their eyebrows.

WHAT IS OMBRE POWDER BROWS?
Ombre Powder Brows is a eyebrow technique that replicates the application of makeup. We perform this procedure with machine shading to create small pixels of color that give beautifully filled in eyebrows that will look like you just filled them in with makeup. No hair strokes involved with Ombre Powder Brows.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING AND OMBRE BROWS LAST?
The pigment used in this procedure is semi-permanent, therefore the procedure typically lasts 1-3 years. Because of the unique qualities of each individual’s skin and lifestyles, we are unable to guarantee how long your results will last.
HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?
The procedure is done using a hand tool, with a prepackaged, sterile, single use “blade” made up of a grouping of needles that are 3x smaller than the needles that would be used in a tattoo machine. With the appropriate amount of pressure, the skin is scored and the pigment is deposited into the epidermis (outermost layer of skin). Think paper-cuts!
HOW LONG IS THE PROCEDURE?
Your first appointment will take approximately 1.5-2-hours, as plenty of time will be taken to assure that we have created the shape you desire before the procedure is performed.
Your second appointment (12 week touch up) will be between 60-90 minutes.

DOES IT HURT?
Each individual will have a different experience with the level of discomfort associated with the service. Some say it is relaxing and they only feel the pressure being applied. Others say it feels about as uncomfortable as tweezing.
A topical numbing cream is applied 20-mins prior to your procedure which will numb the outer layer of skin.
Then we use a medical grade numbing gel throughout your entire procedure which numbs the inner layers of skin and helps most clients not feel a thing.

WHAT'S THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?
When you leave from your appointment your brow will look amazing, no swelling or redness. Just a little tender feeling for about 2-4 hours once the numbing wears off. Over the next 2-4 days after your appointment the color of your brows may look slightly darker as your brows are healing, but they will not be unpresentable. Throughout the healing process (10-14 days) they will slowly fade to a softer, more natural shade.
HOW DO I PICK THE SHAPE I WANT?
We choose the shape of your new brows together. Whether you are just looking to enhance the fullness of your natural brow, or create a whole new shape, we will take it one step at a time. Your new shape will be applied with a cosmetic pencil first so that you can see how it will look your face. We will not start the procedure until you are happy with what we have created.
I HAVE NO BROWS, CAN I STILL GET THIS PROCEDURE?
Absolutely, this is a great option for those who suffer from Alopecia, Trichotillomania, or have been through Chemotherapy. Microblading can even correct past wax catastrophes, over tweezing, or the normal hair thinning that occurs post menopause.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
Minimum of 2. Your initial brow procedure and then your 12-week touch up session. After that, you'll be good to go until about 12-36 months before needing a touch up. Just like many beauty procedures, permanent makeup isn't a one-and-done thing. We always emphasize the importance of coming in for your 2nd session touch-up 12 weeks after your first procedure. If you have higher-maintenance skin (i.e.: oily skin, excessively dry skin, bigger pores around your brows, etc.) you may need a touch-up more frequently about every 6-9 months. If you are not sure what options are best for you, consultations are available.
I'M PREGNANT, CAN I GET THIS PROCEDURE? BEFORE PROCEDURE
Sorry mom, we do not recommend this procedure for you as permanent makeup opens the skin and enters the blood stream. Which can create a possible risk to your unborn baby. Enjoy your pregnancy and book your microblading appointment with us after baby arrives and you are no longer breast feeding.
